GJP secured planning permission for a 500 student bed scheme at Plot A1, Kings Road, Swansea Waterfront. The appeal was allowed and permission granted by The Planning Inspectorate on 29th June 2017. The case constructed by GJP included a consideration of the appropriateness of the scale, form and design of the building, the level of car parking proposed and the principle of development within the Swansea SA1 Masterplan – these matters were fully endorsed by the Inspector through his appeal decision. The Inspector further stated: “I have no doubt that the proposed scale and block aspect would serve to reinforce the sense of arrival into the City and represent an appropriate gateway development”.
