GJP are pleased to have secured Full Planning Permission for a major mixed use scheme, comprising residential, office and commercial spaces, as well as the provision of a new highway to accommodate a bus interchange at the Former Waun Gron Waste Transfer Centre.

The development will be highly energy efficient – achieving significant improvements over the energy performance requirements currently required by building regulations, creating a high performing, green, low carbon, and sustainable building.

Cardiff’s Local Highways Authority conveyed their upmost support for the scheme, particularly as the proposal will provide improved bus public transport facilities (consistent with the wider Metro proposals), as well as having immediate and convenient access and connection with rail services – all helping to achieve the Council’s target of a 50/50 modal split of car travel and public transport.
