GJP have successfully secured Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the retention of a wedding and conference venue at Gileston Manor in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The venue is sited within the grounds of the Grade II* Listed Manor house and includes the erection of a marquee with capacity for up to 150 guests. The permissions include the creation of a secret garden room with a canopy structure concealed within the Grade II Listed garden walls to provide a space for Wedding services. Also secured is the refurbishment of the Grade II Summerhouse to provide a ceremony room.

The venue will utilise a Zone Array directional speaker system to ensure the development would have an acceptable impact to the nearest neighbouring dwellings in Gileston.

The development will provide substantial tourism benefits to the local economy, which was recognised as one of the key material considerations to allow Planning Permission to be granted.
