Gileston Manor is one of Wales’ most elegant and exciting wedding venues, with breathtaking sea views in 9 acres of sweeping lawns and Welsh woodland.
With the aim to broaden their offering for wedding parties, they approached GJP to help acquire planning permission and listed building consent to help create a secret garden room with a canopy structure, along with the refurbishment of the Grade II Summerhouse to provide a ceremony room.
These proposals constituted the next phase of the renovation and re-use of the manor, and its associated listed Coach House, Cheese House and other outbuildings – all receiving planning and listed building consent for change of use and conversion.
GJP successfully secured the necessary Planning Permissions and Listed Building Consents.
The wedding venue now utilises a Zone Array directional speaker system to ensure the development has an acceptable impact to the nearest neighbouring dwellings in Gileston.
The development now provides substantial tourism benefits to the local economy, which was recognised as one of the key material considerations to allow Planning Permission to be granted.
