Herefordshire Council appointed Cityheart as their preferred Development Partner to deliver 178 student rooms in the town centre.
GJP assisted with the Developer selection process, and acted as planning consultant for the scheme.
The scheme’s aim was to deliver purpose-built student accommodation to attract students to the Hereford College of the Arts and a new University-the New Model in Technology & Engineering (NMITE).
GJP secured planning permission for the scheme, and subsequently discharged all planning conditions to enable implementation of the hybrid planning permission (the scheme also included outline proposals for a stand alone commercial element). The scheme design included internal and external areas where creative artwork would be displayed.
