GJP secured approval for a large site of homes and community facilities at Strategic Site D ‘Land West of Llangyfelach Road’, developed by Llanmoor Homes and named ‘Pentref Rhostir’.
The scheme comprises up to 1,950 dwellings – 15% of which will be affordable – along with the creation of a link road, a local centre including a primary school and community facilities, public open space, and outdoor sports provision including playing pitches along with new active travel routes.
The site is a mixed–use, residential-led strategic allocation within the Swansea LDP – the largest strategic site put forward for development within the Plan.
The proposals gained approval at Swansea Planning Committee in 2019.
The scheme is under development and will be constructed over a period of between 15 and 20 years, with the initial residential construction beginning mid-2023.
