Project overview

GJP coordinated all planning issues relating to the proposal for the redevelopment of this Cambridge City centre site.

Two Cambridge neighbourhoods were ‘reconnected’ when Planning permission was secured for 84 homes, commercial space and basement parking in an array of eight staggered, cojoined point blocks of varying heights within a suburban context.

Outcome

GJP secured planning permission for the scheme, presenting the scheme proposals and application to Planning Committee in the process. The complex, tight, urban site required extensive negotiation to secure the necessary approval.

Thank you for all the effort which you and your team put into gaining this resolution to grant consent. All through the process you kept on top of this and the reports you submitted to the officers ensured that there were no technical loose ends nor unresolved issues to cause concern. The final reports you submitted were very clear and helped the officers to reach their positive recommendations.
